To Be Like Jesus

Jesus faced . . .

Legalism,
Phariseeism,
Criticism,
Skepticism.

Jesus was rejected by His friends & family.

He was used by others for their own means.

Jesus was denied and forsaken by His friends and family.
He was betrayed by a friend.
He was lied about.
He was lied to.

He couldn't "measure up" to others' expectations.

He faced "traps" laid by others.

Jesus was poor.
Jesus paid "everything" to have nowhere to lay His head.

Jesus endured many sleepless nights to pray.

Do I really want to follow Jesus?

"Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after Me,
he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

-- Jesus (Mark 8:34 from The Holy Bible: NIV)
